◈Foreign-Language & Comprehensive Exams
1. Foreign-Language Exam
Eligibility: Students who have completed a minimum of 2 semesters comprising a minimum of 15 credits
Qualification standards: Exam score of at least 70/100, or students who have already obtained the minimum required score in a certified language exam

*For international students who have completed a master’s program at PKNU and now advanced to a doctoral program, the completion of Korean-language courses during their master’s program is accepted.
2. Comprehensive Exams
Eligibility
- Master’s degree (thesis): Completed a minimum of 3 semesters comprising a minimum of 18 credits
- Master’s degree (non-thesis): Completed a minimum of 4 semesters comprising a minimum of 27 credits
- Doctoral degree: Completed a minimum of 4 semesters comprising a minimum of 27 credits
Qualification standards
- Master’s degree (thesis): Passed at least 3 subjects (including 1 mandatory subject), with a score of at least 70/100 in each subject
- Master’s degree (non-thesis): Passed at least 3 subjects (including 1 mandatory subject), with a score of at least 70/100 in each subject
- Doctoral degree: Passed at least 4 subjects (including 1 mandatory subject) with a score of at least 70/100 in each subject
